THIS *&^# IS BANANAS, B-ANANA

My puppy Finn and I share a banana every morning so when I came across this banana bowl I had to show you all. It was designed by Harry Allen and made from a cast of real bananas. It is 10″ x 6″ x 13″ and is 100% resin. Enjoy!

Child’s Play

Pottery Barn Teen has come up with some amazing new products.  They are all about ipods, organization, and looking good.  This piece is their “Get Sporty Set” that comes with cubbies, chalkboard, corkboard, fabricboard, and a 60 x 5 x 40″ ipod speaker shelf.  You can write up a “to do” list, hang your favorite bands logo, pics from your weekend trip, store your ipod gear, etc…while listening to your latest download.  What a great way for your kids (or you) to learn how to organize!

Simply Sideboard

This elegant sideboard was designed by Jurgen Oskamp. It comes in various finishes such as light oak, dark oak, or white lacquer. The doors can be in light/dark oak, white lacquer, or matte glass with aluminum hardware. It is 102″ L x 23″ D x 34″ H. I love the clean lines, the frame, and the functionality of it. Roll it into your office for more workspace and then roll it into your kitchen for a dinner party!

Roses Are Red…

flowers.jpgGrowing up I always thought when men where in trouble they were to buy red roses. Now I wonder, which kind of rose are they expected to give to us ladies? There are thousands of various roses and then dozens of colors in each style. How does one decide? I needed to hit the pavement with this question. I went to a florist in the West Village called VSF. They were incredibly friendly and answered all of my elementary questions about each of their flowers and plants…all of which were stunning! I finally decided to buy a few garden roses. Once I brought them home I wanted to do some research on their history. I was completely overwhelmed. My Grandmother called them cabbage roses, various websites called them antique garden roses, and within antique garden roses I found several types that looked just like the roses I purchased. Oh my! All I can say is, men I don’t envy you. You have a tough decision ahead of you. And women, don’t wait for them men to buy them for you. Flowers help complete your living space and are often forgotten. Go to your local florist this weekend and try to find a flower that inspires you.
