You heard it here first. Math-You Namie is going to be the next big thing on the New York gallery scene. He is beyond talented and yet extremely humble. Math-You has pieces that are ready to find a home but he is more than willing to work with you to create whatever your heart desires. He starts with a canvas wrapped in upholstery fabric. Then he uses vintage ad stencils to hand paint the faces. The fabric, stencil, scale, and the palette can all be customized. Try to work with him ASAP as he is still affordable.
Blu Luxe Home is a new on-line shop that is sure to please. They offer French inspired vintage pieces of furniture, original artwork, mirrors, pillows, etc. I found this stunning black high gloss side chair with a black/white damask seat cushion. There are many similar chairs like this that you buy to create a mix and match feel at your dining table or you can buy one and use it at your desk/vanity.
I am trying to turn my black thumb to green. In doing so I have been reading up and buying a small bunch of a different flower each week. This vase, from Clio Home, is perfect for my schooling. I put in a few stems at a time and truly enjoy their brilliant color as the white vase does not fight for my eye’s attention. Or, use it as an adult piggy bank. It is 10″ High so when it is full you will have enough for dinner or cocktails…it’s NYC so I don’t think I could get much more than that!

If you are a giftaholic and think that the presentation is as important as the present itself then check out Whimsy. It is an adorable gift wrap and more website. Each sheet of gift wrap is 24″ x 36″ large enough for the big gifts or for several small gifts. Or you can cut the sheet in half, flip over one half so both patterns are showing, frame them and hang them. Do this to a couple of sheets using the same paper or even a different pattern to create a whole wall of funky art.
